How to Join or volunteer with the California Cadet Corps

  • Requirements for:
    • Volunteers:
      • Understand and Comply with Code of Ethics and Cadet Protection Policies
      • Be approved/vetted in accordance with local school and district volunteer policies (if applicable)
      • Act under direct supervision of Commandants
    • Assistant Commandants, Special Projects Officers (HQ and Brigade levels):
      • Understand and Comply with Code of Ethics and Cadet Protection Policies (if applicable)
      • Be approved/vetted in accordance with local school and district volunteer policies
      • Application Packet  (except for the Form 11)must be submitted, approved, and orders published establishing position in CACC
    • Commandants:
      • Understand and Comply with Code of Ethics and Cadet Protection Policies
      • Be approved/vetted in accordance with local school and district volunteer policies (if applicable)
      • Application Packet  must be submitted, approved, and orders published establishing position in CACC
      • Attend Basic Commandant Training Academy
  • Checklist
    • Review CACC Commandant Code of Ethics
    • Review CACC Cadet Protection Policy
    • Complete School/District Policies (Livescan, TB tests, etc)
    • Submit Application Packet
