Civics, the Constitution, and community service
The Citizenship pillar equips cadets to be active, informed members of their communities. Cadets study the U.S. and California Constitutions, the rights and responsibilities of citizens, and the institutions of state and local government.

Founding documents, separation of powers, the Bill of Rights.
California Civics
State government, the role of the National Guard, local civic life.
Community Service
Service projects, color guards, parades, and disaster relief support.
Public Affairs
Reading current events critically and participating in public discourse.
