2026 figures are computed from the survey export (247 consenting seniors; GPA uses 245 valid entries, scholarship rate uses the 165 college-accepted cadets who answered). Certification and CTE questions were added in 2026.
What got stronger in 2026Participation grew for the third straight year — 40, then 193, now 247 seniors from 28 schools. Cadets are staying longer: 77.3% of the Class of 2026 had four or more years in the program, up from 70.5% in 2025 and 47.5% in 2024. College acceptance rose for the third year running (57.5% → 65.8% → 67.6%), college credit earned in high school recovered to 56.3%, and the scholarship rate among college-bound cadets nearly tripled (10.2% → 29.1%). Enlistment returned to 21.5%, four cadets were accepted to a U.S. service academy, and agreement that CACC builds leadership rose from 63% to 67.2%. For the first time, the survey measured industry certifications: 90 seniors (36.4%) earned at least one, 211 certifications in all.
Context and areas to watchThree schools account for 73.7% of 2026 responses, and one school alone for 46.6%, so the results describe the cadets who answered more than the Corps as a whole. Only 10.1% of the Class of 2026 joined CACC in their last two years of high school. Officer attainment (20.6%) has not returned to its 2024 level. And 49 of the 90 certification earners were in programs not coded as a CTE pathway — career-technical outcomes the state does not yet count.

New in 2026 — Career Pathways & Certification Impact
- →36.4% of seniors earned at least one industry-recognized certification (90 of 247; 211 certifications total).
- →CPR/AED (58), FEMA (51), Red Cross Basic First Aid (41), CERT (19) and Red Cross EMR (14) were the most common.
- →26.3% of seniors (65) were in a CACC program coded as a CTE pathway — Public Services was the pathway for 41 of them.
- →58.3% agree CACC added valuable experience or certifications to a resume, college or scholarship application.
- →Among the 92 seniors who secured a job, 52.2% said skills learned in CACC helped them get it.
