About the Brigades
Currently, the statewide California Cadet Corps (CACC) organization is structured into regional units called BRIGADES. While these units are usually based on geography and size, because of the unique and varied needs of the Corps, some brigades are organized based on functional or specialized need.

Below is a current list of brigades and their region/function:

1st Brigade
Riverside County and portions of San Bernardino County.  This Brigade is the southernmost in the CACC

3rd Brigade
Central California areas of Portverville and surrounding communities

4th Brigade
"Function-specific" Brigade Headquartered in Oakland, CA at the Oakland Military Institute (OMI); includes all Youth Programs units (Sunburst Academy, Grizzly Academy, OMI), and Sacramento area units

5th Brigade
Central California areas of Fresno and surrounding communities

6th Brigade
A single schol Brigade consisting of Foshay Community Learning Center in South Los Angeles, LAUSD

8th Brigade
(includes the former 7th Brigade) All of Los Angeles Unified School District, except Foshay Learning Center

9th Brigade
Portions of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties north, including HQ at California Military Institute in Perris, CA

10th Brigade
"Function-specific" Brigade for the state-level cadet headquarters

11th Brigade
San Bernardino City Unified School District

14th Brigade
Compton Unified School District

18th Brigade
San Bernardino County areas of Oro Grande, Victorville, Phelen, Hesperia, Barstow, Lucerne Valley, and Yermo.
